Idaho Vandals Vintage 1940s Logo Long Sleeve

Idaho Vandals Vintage 1940s Logo Long Sleeve

This slightly grumpy version of the Idaho Vandal debuted in the 1940s, about a decade before the ā€œJoe Vandalā€ mascot tradition took shape in the ā€˜50s. A yell leader named Bill Currie donned a homemade mask and created Joe’s persona. It seems that when Joe Vandal got more cheerful, so did the official logo; Idaho debuted a new logo in 1967 that’s identical to this, but his expression was changed to a smile.Ā No matter his expression, we think he’s ā€œbrave and bold,ā€ as the Idaho fight song, ā€œGo Vandals, Goā€ suggests.

Products are mocked up on a size S. Graphics may appear smaller on larger sizes.
