Michigan’s football squads used a version of this logo on their team gear in the ‘70s. It brings back memories of the Ten Year War between the Wolverines and Ohio State, as they battled for the conference and national title contention. Or, you might think of the marching band playing “Varsity” during the pregame show: Men of Michigan onto victory / Ev’ry man in ev’ry play / Michigan expects her Varsity to win today!
